Hello, linaro-dev,
When I boot the Ubuntu desktop image available from
http://releases.linaro.org/12.06/ubuntu/leb-panda/lt-panda-x11-base_2012062…
all I see is a black screen and the mouse pointer.
I see some messages on the console like
[ 13.996887] (stk) : timed out waiting for ldisc to be un-installed
[ 15.145019] (stk) :ldisc installation timeout
and
[ 22.983459] omap-hdmi-audio-dai omap-hdmi-audio-dai: audio not supported
[ 22.990631] omap-hdmi-audio-dai omap-hdmi-audio-dai: can't open interface omap-hdmi-audio-dai: -19
My PandaBoard is connected to a Dell monitor with a native resolution of
1680 x 1050. Is this a problem?

Device tree memory regions may have sizes larger than 4GB.
Instead of silently truncating a 64 bit size when we pass it
to arm_add_memory(), split large regions into 2GB chunks.

With this patch, I can take a device tree which has been tweaked
so its #address-cells and #size-cells are both 2, and boot it on
a QEMU vexpress-a15 model with >4GB of RAM, and have the kernel
actually detect the right amount of RAM. [the qemu bit needs some
patches I haven't posted yet.]
Since I'm not really a kernel dev I thought I'd post this to
linaro-dev first in the hope of a bit of friendly local review
before venturing onto lkml :-)
(Apologies to those on cc who got this twice because I mistyped
the linaro-dev email address.)

Hi,
I need to re-compile 3.0.0-1002.3 linaro omap kernel to include MADC
drivers. The reason is that the linaro-m 11.07 release uses this kernel,
and I need to add MADC driver to the 11.07 release...
Where can I find 3.0.0-1002.3 linaro omap kernel...???
I use overo-fire.
Any suggestion on which release should I use to include the MADC
drivers....
Has anyone successfully compiled kernel after enabling flags in .config
file...?? Which release did you use.. and which version of kernel did you
compile..??

Hi all,
I am running the Community kernel on Snowball, as far as I know, v3.4-rc3
Ethernet works, but later version such as v3.4-rc6 and v3.5-rc*, the
Ethernet doesn't work, does anybody know how to make the Ethernet work?
Thanks.
Hello, linaro-dev,
I was able to get the Ubuntu desktop to appear by connecting a 1080p
DVI monitor to the "DVI-D" HDMI connector.
Is there any documentation on which HDMI connector to use when
connecting to different types of displays?
Is there any way to pass a different resolution on the kernel
command line so that I can get the PandaBoard to work with a
1680x1050 DVI display?
