Please don't see any malice there. Even though the topic has been on our table 
for quite some time now, we're only starting to actively work on it. The first 
step is to gather our requirements (this will likely be done this week, during 
the V4L2 brainstorming meeting in Warsaw). We will then of course contact 
DRM/DRI developers.
