Ah, that's a pity. Did you get anybody in that has some weight in an
upstream discussion?

Well, it'd be nice to send them a heads-up that you're talking about a
practical solution; that way they can tune in if they want. And even if
they are currently smothered in ICS you can later say that you had given
plenty of advance notice ;-)
