My apologies for the multiple emails.

On a separate topic from coresight discovery, the new patch I have applied
have resulted in failure to activate the etm drivers
for tracing.

The above result can be seen here:

I might be doing something wrong. Any guidance will be appreciated.

Sorry for some late ...

Except the CPUIdle should be disabled, we also need to enable
CoreSight clock;  Could you try below patch for clock driver?
The patch sets the CoreSight clock as critical so the kernel will turn
on the clock by default:
