Regarding the version, sorry I am interested in 12.09 only.
Just need to know if this issue in 12.09 version is already known and
some fix has been made to it.
Else, if there is some other way to check audio playback, that also
would help me.

you can look at the latest changes in device/linaro/pandaboard and cherry pick audio and sdcard related changes.
