Ok, let's switch. Expect the messages output I have to change, is there
something I should change to integrate with lava (eg. for the 'make
check' invocation) ?

Nope, that should be just fine. Point me at a version when you make those changes, and I'll make a test definition for it in lava-test and we can try it out.
