I can&#39;t find any Android commits to fix this (I may have missed them),<br>
and the bug isn&#39;t marked as fixed in Launchpad.<br>

There was a workaround posted to the bug for bringing up ethernet to get<br>
ADB working. But this doesn&#39;t appear to enable networking for GUI apps<br>
like the web browser.<br>
