The gator package in the Linaro Overlay PPA is the latest, but it was
only uploaded just over a week ago for the 12.08 release, perhaps you
were getting the previous one?
I just know there is a Linaro Overlay PPA for this gator, I didn't add this PPA manually, by default there is no such PPA.
I think this is the reason of old version gatord.
