Hi, Torben

After confirmation with Freescale, the binary format of manufacturing tool is uploaded here. I have a README file for check.
Can you give it a try?

Please follow Philipp's steps. And let us know whether this fixes your problem. After that, I can update Linaro's wiki page accordingly.  And for sure your input can help lot of others. :)

Thanks.
Best regards,
Guodong Xu

Hi, Trodden

I am checking with Freescale for this. So far answer I copied below:
- Note: "not available at Freesacle's external website" usually means it is still not released to public.

Richard and I are still checking for that. Will update you once we got more information.

Thanks.
Best regards,
Guodong Xu

Hello Torben,

I can provide the instructions how to use the MFG-Tool.

Please note, that this tool works in Windows and not Linux and that I am
not completely aware, in which state you will receive this tool from
Freescale (I cannot provide the tool, please ask FSL to receive it). I
will describe the steps based on my installation.

Please read them carefully until the end, before you execute them.

- Connect the SabreLite via the USB-OTG port to your PC and start the
MFG-Tool
- In the left bottom corner of the MFG-tool main window you will find
the status information field containing Profile, status, version.
- Click "Scan devices" (most likely nothing will be found)
- Choose Options->Configuration...->USB-Ports
and search for something like "Linux-File-Stor..." or "HID-device..."
or similar and check this device
- Choose Options->Configuration...->Profiles
and check the right bootloader from "Options". It could be something
like "Sabre-lite-SPI_NOR-1" [1]
- Afterwards press the green start button on the right bottom corner and
wait until the action is complete.
- In the end insert the SD-Card created with lmc or whatever, unplug the
board from the OTG-port and boot the board as normally.

Please note: This description comes without any warranty. In case of any
open questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

[1] The bootloader of your choice can be identified from the config-file
in the installation directory:
- Open <install_Dir>\Profiles\MX6Q Linux Update\OS Firmware\ucl.xml with
your favorite editor
- Search for the bootloader name which is something like
"MX6_SPI_to_SD_loader.bin" and check the name which will be showed in
the Options column which could be e.g. name="Sabre-lite-SPI_NOR-1"

Best regards,
Philipp

Dear Linaro-Dev-Team,

we tried to getting started with the Freescale i.MX6Q Sabre Lite
Boardand have some errors that you have mentioned at your homepage
https://wiki.linaro.org/Boards/MX6QSabreLite:
"In case you somehow do not succeed with this procedure you will
have
to use the manufacturing tool in order to reflash the SPI-NOR. In
that
case please let me know and I can send you instructions how to
program
the new loader with the manufacturing tool."
Please send us the instructions. Thank you.

Do you have the manufacturing tool for i.MX6? Or do you just need the
instructions?

Best regards

Dirk
