Hi,
Ricardo is currently working on
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linaro-ubuntu/+spec/hwpacks-v2-trasition
targetting 11.09.
This testing may uncover bugs in linaro-image-tools, and completing the
transition would mean having a fixed linaro-image-tools released as part
of 11.09.
Given that we are two days away and don't have a complete set of tested
hwpacks this may not make the release.
Also, there is an implication for our infrastructure, as producing those
hwpacks may require setting up new projects on ubuntu-build.linaro.org,
or deploying a new version of linaro-image-tools to the slaves
(https://wiki.linaro.org/Platform/Infrastructure/NewOffspringBuildToolVersion)
which may be another step in getting hwpacks available and tested for
the release.
Therefore I request the release team to pay special attention to this
interdependence and aid in getting a quality release out the door
(without 16 hour working days :-)
That may mean pushing off the transition to 11.10, but I will leave that
up to you, Ricardo and Mattias to call based on the results of the
testing.
