Hi,
I am trying to submit a job for pandaboard, I am not using PDU so when ever it tries to soft reboot I am removing the power supply and connecting it back, so there is no issues without PDU, but now I am unable to load the image on to board because it is tring for some tftp connection and checking the ethernet connection of board before rebooting of board ethernet connection is working fine but after rebooting ethernet is down and it is unable to load the image to board due to some other reasons. Can any one check the log, device config , json file for figuringout the issue.

Hi Dave,

Is there any way to solve this without using PDU, like increasing the delay of for manual plugging and unplugging of power supply to board. If PDU is compulsory then which type of PDU can used because if we google for PDU different types of PDU's are there. for LAVA which of PDU can be used?

Hi Dave,

I have only one telnet connection to board, where I configured to port 4000 using "telnet localhost 4000" command in my PC I am able to connect to board. The issue might be the restart command in panda01.conf "/usr/bin/pduclient --daemon localhost --hostname pdu --command reboot --port 05" where PDU port-05 is not configured to telnet port 4000, if this is the issue may I know how to configure PDU port to required telnet port.

Hi Narendra,

That looks like you have another telnet connection to the board, or you haven't set up your serial console correctly.

we need to only master images for testing? Using of  images located at

Master image helps to leave the board in a useable state after each job run in LAVA. You can read about master images here - https://validation.linaro.org/static/docs/lava-image-creation.html?highlight=master%20image and here - https://git.linaro.org/lava/lava-master-image-scripts.git/blob_plain/HEAD:/README

Test images are the images that you specify within the job JSON, on which you want your tests to get executed. These could be images from https://releases.linaro.org or elsewhere. These images will have the partition layout already setup by master images for deploying these images in device under test (DUT) that is connected with LAVA.
