Hi,
I've just committed the code needed to build an initial Linaro
JellyBean version (buildable with the Linaro gcc 4.7 compiler):
repo init -u git://android.git.linaro.org/platform/manifest.git -b
linaro_android_4.1.1
repo sync
Currently the build supports only the Galaxy Nexus - didn't want to
run into trouble with potentially incompatible binary blobs before
knowing the rest of the system is working.
Support for our normally supported boards will be added over the next
couple of days. Optimizations that currently aren't on the 4.1 branch
will also be restored in the next couple of days.
There's also 2 problems we need to fix quickly:
E/WVMExtractor( 126): Failed to open libwvm.so entries showing up in
logcat (a quick grep indicates nothing seems to build libwvm - neither
in our tree nor in AOSP)
and
I/v8 ( 1293): ERROR: Binary compiled with -mfloat-abi=hard but
without -DUSE_EABI_HARDFLOAT
(we don't actually use hardfloat (yet), so chances are the check for
hardfloat goes wrong with gcc 4.7.x)
The camera isn't working, but that's not a high priority issue given
the Galaxy Nexus is not a device we're supporting officially.
Of course our gerrit is always happy to receive patches for these and
other issues. ;)

Hi Bero,
It is seen that latest bionic patches are causing Origen MM to crash, I
just verified by removing the stream of bionic patches for optimization.
There was a specific failure from memcpy(), this was due to 32 bit
un-aligned address (Source Pointer) passed as an argument , this addess is
obtained from mmap (device space)
It looks like the latest optmizations are not taking this scenario into
consideration and thus causing issues for specific case as mentioned above.
I have not tried disabling NEON flag though.
With Regards,
Annamalai
Hi,
The JB builds on android-build.linaro.org seems to run into the same
problem...
make: *** No rule to make target
`out/target/common/docs/api-stubs-timestamp', needed by
`out/target/common/obj/JAVA_LIBRARIES/android_stubs_current_intermediates/classes.jar'.
Stop.
Anyone working on it?

Hi,
I am using Linaro Android 11.08, Android Ginger-Bread 2.3.5,
Able to compile and run on iMX53 QSB, It is running well,
While playing videos, it seems the video with genuine quality seems running
slow and looks choppy.
Please do inform regarding
i) How to get info. for this release h/w graphics acceleration details.
ii) if any ways to enable the h/w acceleration on this release.
iii) please do point out any board specific elements need to add in
BoardConfng.mk
under "<release -src># device/linaro/iMX53/BoardConfig.mk"
Meantime I started using iMX6 target using the same setup of this version
i.e. imx6 with linaro android 11.08 [yes it is compiled for product
iMX53,].
Observed same way the video play back was of some what similar quality as
it was on iMX53.
Genuine quality video play seems slow and choppy,
Requesting valuable comments, pointers and references..
It will be a great help.
Recently there are release with ICS with recent updates but I eager to play
smooth video on Gingerbread first.
Thank you very much. !
Thanks
Shrikant
