Below is the question in full:
hi,
I am using Android on an STB my problem is to change frame buffer timimg
mode with a minimum impact on the graphic interface.
Now the easy solution I use is to start stop the whole thing. it takes
around 15s ,
What would be the safest way to do it, Am thinking changing the mode with
fbset and the GUI application would adapt itself to the new resolution
without stopping the starting the whole thing?
This is a common use case in a STB or a TV.

Hello,
We saw some builds on your site that were for 2.3.5 and 2.3.7 on
pandaboards. However, upon downloading the 2.3.7 builds we could not get
them to boot on the pandaboard. We managed to get 2.3.5 to boot, but
noticed some flakiness with it.
Is 2.3.x on a pandaboard a configuration that you're still working on
supporting? Should the 2.3.7 builds have worked? What is the latest
2.3.7 build that you tested? Perhaps we grabbed a bad one; however, I
don't currently have the URL to the build we grabbed.
Thanks for any information you have.

Hi,
The auto sleep feature is now in mainline but a very few drivers have been
modified (wake up sources and events) to use auto sleep feature.
I saw a commit
commit a180c0d659f604568637336a00c0c3ca2f7b094a
Author: John Stultz <john.stultz(a)linaro.org>
Date: Tue Apr 24 10:57:16 2012 -0700
staging: android-alarm: Switch from wakelocks to wakeup sources
In their current AOSP tree, the Android in-kernel wakelock
infrastructure has been reimplemented in terms of wakeup
sources:
http://git.linaro.org/gitweb?p=people/jstultz/android.git;a=commitdiff;h=e9…
The Android alarm driver currently has stubbed out calls
to wakelock functionality. So this patch simply converts
the stubbed out wakelock calls to wakeup source calls, and
removes the empty wakelock macros
Is auto sleep feature currently being tested or are there any plans to move
all the drivers to use both the wakelock mechanism and autosleep?
Thanks & Regards
Hi,
I can't push stuff to android.git.linaro.org right now -- while downloading
using http://android.git.linaro.org/git-ro/... works, any attempt to push a
change (or to ssh -p 29418 username(a)android.git.linaro.org to see what's
going on) just hangs.
Is there any work going on (tightened firewall or something)?
Or is it just me?

Hi,
I'm a programming student and owner of Samsung GT-I8160 phone.
According to producer specification NovaThor U8500 should run at 1GHz CPU
frequency (like it's in other phones such as GT-I9070 or GT-I8190).
Unfortunately, my phone is underclocked to 800MHz and I really want to
change this.
I've made research and asked in many places (such as xda-developers) but no
one have made overclocking in NovaThor chipsets yet. The only thing I found
is underclocking GT-I9070 which is done by special kernel module that uses
prcmu_qos_update_requirement function but I can't find any more information
about it.
Now I'm asking you for help, if you have any ideas how to overclock
NovaThor CPUs that would be so good news for a lot of people.
Greetings, Michal.
