Hello Guys,
I'm using branch linux-linaro-lsk-android on lsk(https://git.linaro.org/kernel/linux-linaro-stable.git). My arch is armv8.
When I config CONFIG_PREEMPT, The system panic.
It says "Failed to execute /init". I digged into it and found there was a page fault in atomic path.
And When config CONFIG_PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY or CONFIG_PREEMPT_NONE, it looks well.
Does anyone encounter this situation?

Hello.
I would like to ask for a details of how you create your panda board image ?
Especially how the kernel image uImage is created ?
My problem starts with new Panada board A6, for which standard flashing procedure does not work.
I use official release of Android with few corrections.
I tried to load your panda board image on SD card and it failed too at the bootloader.
After getting some advice from U-boot team I managed to enable automatic SDRAM clock
and build modified version of it. After coping those new u-boot to SD card, system works.
My issue is now how to load my standard Android system.
I tried to load Android code from your website: https://wiki.linaro.org/Platform/Android/GetSource,
but I was stopped by the error:
mb56@mb56ubuntu:~/oper/data/android$ ./repo init -u ${MANIFEST_REPO} -b ${MANIFEST_BRANCH} -m ${MANIFEST_FILENAME} -g ${REPO_GROUPS}
./repo: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
./repo: line 1: `<!DOCTYPE html>'

Hello,
I'm currently working with a Linaro Android release on the Arndale, and
was wondering if there would be any future support for the Arndale Octa.
Are there any plans to add support for Linaro Android builds on the
Arndale Octa board? I believe there was a build for the Octa at one
point, if this [1] is any indication, but it seems that anything useful
from the build, e.g. binaries or source code, are unavailable.
Additionally, I've been wondering if it would be possible to write the
images for Linaro Android builds for the regular Arndale directly onto
the eMMC on the board, rather than writing to an SD card and then
booting the device from the card.
The partitions in the image generated by the linaro-android-media-create
commands seem to differ from the structure of the default images given
on the ArndaleBoard.org wiki here [2]. There seem to be instructions for
writing from the SD card to the eMMC for the Ubuntu builds here [3],
would something similar be available for Android builds? Would it be
possible, perhaps from the u-boot menu, to write the image to the
board's eMMC from the host PC?
Thanks,
Myles

Dear Khasim,
I tried to build kernel on branch lsk/linux-linaro-lsk-android. but the compiler complained the following messages:

I thought this branch is not tested on arm64. that's said we use another branch to develop linaro-android for arm64. Am I right?
If I got it could you tell me witch branch should I track for develop android on arm64?
Many thanks.

I've been having a problem while trying to build the most recent (558)
build of linaro android for the Arndale. When running the
linaro_android_build_cmds.sh script, I get the following error:
make: *** No rule to make target `out/host/linux-x86/bin/dexopt', needed
by
`out/target/product/generic/dex_bootjars/system/framework/webviewchromium.odex'.
Stop.
I have tried to look for a solution to the problem, but I haven't found
any issues related to dexopt targets in linaro builds. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
It might be worth noting that I ran into the problem in another email at
http://lists.linaro.org/pipermail/linaro-android/2014-May/002543.html
[1], despite not using an Octa board. Following the advice, I set the
WITH_HOST_DALVIK variable in the build script to false, but after
cleaning the directory and building again, I started running into the
problem described above.
Regards,
Myles
