Just did an MX6 build with skia and agl built with -ftree-parallelize-loops=4
The results are not very encouraging - visible tearing got worse, and
0xbench 3D results improve by merely 1.5%. (This was done with the 4.7
toolchain, given -ftree-parallelize-loops should be slightly more
effective there).
Either gcc's support for it just isn't where we want it yet, or
skia/agl code is simply not using any bits that could be parallelized
meaningfully.
Let's see how it goes with other parts of the tree...

Hello doanac,
Meg <http://ask.linaro.org/users/244/meg> has just posted a new answer
on Ask Linaro to the question How do I get Wifi & bluetooth working on
Pandaboard ES?
<http://ask.linaro.org/questions/796/how-do-i-get-wifi-bluetooth-working-on-…>:
G'day doanac
Yes I have installed the binary blobs and I was able to successfully
boot the Panda ES as well as execute the launchers. However my wifi
& Bluetooth aren't working. Do I need to have the binaries
downloaded somewhere in the sdcard so that it'll load the drivers
upon startup?
Don't forget to come over and cast your vote.
Thanks,
Ask Linaro

OK. so the old list IS gone. Then I am a bit puzzled over two incidents
where meetings and document sharing has reached most people but not
everybody. Perhaps we need to organize a test?
Disregard my previous mail and Please *only* use the new list
linaro-android(a)lists.linaro.org.

Hello Team.
Some time before Christmas we were specifically asked to switch to
linaro-android(a)lists.linaro.org replacing the old linaro-android(a)linaro.org
Unfortunately the old list was not withdrawn and not everybody seems to
have made the switch. This has probably been the cause for some confusion
since I *always* use the new list for my communication, meeting requests
and document sharing aimed at the whole team.
I apologize if some of you have missed any information due to this. Please
use both lists until I have figured out whats going on. Having two slightly
different lists for the same purpose is just silly.

Tony
Hi,
I noticed the panda-master-gcc44-aosp-stable-blob builds,
but fails 2 of the 4 LAVA tests. I was also unable to get
it to run on my system. (It boots, but no display from
the HDMI.) I was just wondering if anybody knows what the
status is of that build.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi.
Here's a proposal for the 12.02 release watch schedule. The monthly Linaro
release is always announced on the third Thursday each month, and we are
required to keep an all-time-zone support around this date.
The job is to monitor mail and the #linaro-android IRC channel and respond
to questions regarding the release. The nine asignees may contact the board
responsible or any known expert on a particular subject in the team if
necessary, subject to judgment considering the time zone of the person in
question. When the shift is over you chat with the next guy and transfer
information if you have any.
Contact information is here:
https://docs.google.com/a/linaro.org/document/d/1BF6pSHa8M8y20PEP7ujaXSpuQV…
Please
don't share it with outsiders. "Don't call us, we'll call you".
Here's a proposal, please respond asap if you can't make your slot. It is
appreciated if you can negotiate a switch with someone else first. The last
one is the most difficult one to fill so feel free to complain:)

Hi,
Could anyone kindly send me 3 /proc files (/proc/interrupts /proc/iomem
/proc/ioports) and dmesg output from an Origen board? We need check some hardware information before our own board arrives. Thank you very much.

Dengyi
