Hello,
Ok, so toolchain fingerprinting issues should be fixed now - fingeprinting is now enabled by default for all jobs. It of course will apply to newer builds only, so I suggest to rebuild 12.03 pre-release toolchains and use newer build in pre-release platform builds.
Otherwise, figuring out what toolchain was used is as easy as:
1. From build's frontend page (should be always a starting point for any info), click "Log" -> "Tail" to go to build's Jenkins page. 2. Click "See Fingerprints" in the left nav column. 3. In the "Original owner" column, behold the toolchain build link. 4. If there's no link, it means that toolchain build wasn't fingerprinted, please rebuild/update per above. 5. If there's no fingerprinting entry at all, it means that upstream binary toolchain was used.
Check for example https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/imx6-ics-gcc47-frees...

I'm having Abhishek use this procedure:
Add this to:
https://wiki.linaro.org/Platform/Android/CreateARelease in the appropriate location.
If you're using a "lastSuccessfulBuild" for the toolchain like:
TOOLCHAIN_URL=https://android-build.linaro.org/jenkins/view/Toolchain/job/linaro-android_t...
you have a little more work to get the exact TOOLCHAIN_URL.
Go to android-build.linaro.org/jenkins
Find the exact build, including build number. For instance, for
https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/panda-ics-gcc46-tilt...
Note when the build was kicked off: Mar 4 2012 4:13:14 AM
- Find linaro-android_toolchain-4.6-bzr in jenkins
Use the build before the date of the build it was used in. In this case:
#196 Mar 3, 2012 11:04:40 PM
Click on #196
Right click on android-toolchain-eabi-4.6-daily-linux-x86.tar.bz2
and copy the link:
https://android-build.linaro.org/jenkins/job/linaro-android_toolchain-4.6-bz...
- And use this in the build.
This should be valid right until we can get the link back in?

Paul,
I'm looking for the stable link info in jenkins.
Like the build that was used for:
TOOLCHAIN_URL=https://android-build.linaro.org/jenkins/view/Toolchain/job/linaro-android_t...
in
https://android-build.linaro.org/jenkins/job/linaro-android_panda-ics-gcc46-...
