Oddly enough, when trying to reproduce it, the build fails for me on a completely different problem -- external/srec seems to be missing our gcc 4.6/4.7 patches.

Bero mentioned that 4.7 has this particular error fixed, shall I open a bug on 4.6 somehow?
I'm looking into it.
