Hey everyone.
I've got a nasty bug (nasty for me as it hampers my android bootstrapping) that is easily reproducible on my pandaboard.
I've reported it as https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/1012674/ with both the manifest file and the build log. If anyone wants to try my binaries I can provide that as well.
Including Usman.

The bug feels like its a dejavu ... wasn't there a bug about reproducible hangs after 5-8 minutes (CCed abhishek who iirc was involved in debugging)? I think we said in that bug its likely a timer triggering some sleep thing (like screen off).

I was actively using the board when this happened. Unless that timer just ticks from boot (and we're not talking about any kind of inactivity timer) then I don't think that's exactly the same issue.

Alex and Zyga:
It's different issue I think....since you can not find any suspend, sleep or disable fb in the log.

Yeah. I think it was https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/912651 ... which is according to title happening after idle (are we sure?).
I feel this issue is same as bug: 912651https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/912651 . 912651: Crash happens around 600 seconds everytime after bootup, irrespective of whether board is idle or not. I do not know if any workaround exists for it. Issue is still present on tracking-panda releases. ( Its observed on both 4430/4460)
Regards, Abhishek

Well the failure logs contain different stuff, so for all we know this is actually a different issue. Updated the bug with this observation.
Rob,
https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/1012674/
and
https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/912651
...look about the same. Any small insights to share?

Rob,
not sure about this one, I don't see any kernel log attached?
and
well, all I can say here is something dies in the cleanup path due to some userspace process (surface flinger?) exiting. If you could find why the process exits that might give some hint about why things are in a bad state perhaps?

I've attached the full serial log. Look at the kernel messages there, it's full of them.
Thanks ZK

I've attached a part of the crash to the discussion there, please review it.
