I'm not aware that linaro provides any images for zedboard..
Anyways, linaro is not really an OS, there isn't such a thing as a linaro architecture. Although linaro does provide various minimal-linux, ubuntu, and android buids, mainly to deliver/showcase various things linaro is working on in different areas (kernel, graphics, multimedia, etc)
