I had tried even the branch 4.0.3, Still i face the same problem. Also the build log is exactly where the build stops, in fact "Make" exits from that place and build ends abruptly.

Hi, your build log seems incomplete (it doesn't show any error or anything else going wrong) - maybe you redirected stdout to the log file without also redirecting stderr? Either way, there's a couple of odd things about it, aside from the fact that it doesn't indicate any errors:
- It says PLATFORM_VERSION=4.0.1 - that's ancient and hasn't been touched for a long time. Chances are you want 4.0.3 - The ffmpeg build process uses the arm-eabi-gcc compiler. It should be using the arm-linux-androideabi-gcc compiler. Did you set TARGET_TOOLS_PREFIX correctly and does it contain a proper compiler, such as the one from https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/toolchain-4.6-2012.0... ?
Will take a look at the build instructions, maybe there's some outdated stuff there.
