I just noticed that device/samsung and device/asus takes up 2.8 gigabytes for each build (under .repo).
Do we really need them?

device/samsung is needed for maguro (Galaxy Nexus) and device/asus is needed for grouper (Nexus 7).
It is probably safe to remove them from manifests for other devices, but I'm not sure how much sense that makes given we eventually want to use a common manifest...
