Botao, Amit: Here are the builds we'll be looking at for the 12.07 android
release. Please boot test them as soon as possible, and respond with the
results. Once they are good, David will tag and rebuild them in the
-release branch, and respond with the new URLs. We'll then need to pick up
the new builds from those URLs and do the rest of the testing on them.
Please take this opportunity to also double-check the gcc version that was
used to build the kernel and make sure it's the 12.07 release of gcc.
Panda:
https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/panda-ics-gcc47-til…
- Boot test on both 4430 and 4460
Snowball:
https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/snowball-ics-gcc46-…
- Please check glmark2, it failed in the lava tests, but looks like it
was due to a networking glitch with linaro-android-test not detecting the
network in time. If this looks bad in the boot test, revert to build 369
and boot test it.
Origen:
https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/origen-ics-gcc47-sa…
- Please check glmark2 on this one too. If this one doesn't look good,
revert to build 88
Vexpress-a9:
https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/vexpress-ics-gcc47-…
Ryan/Tixy are testing the vexpress-tc2 release. Could one of you please
respond with the build URL? I couldn't seem to locate it. Also, after boot
testing, Zach may want it to be rebuilt in a -release branch. I'll defer
to him on that.
Thanks,
Paul Larson
Hello all:
Mathieu, Jayeeta and I just had a call and decided on the following:
1. Build 339 (https://android-build.linaro.org/builds/~linaro-android/snowball-ics-gcc46-…)
will be used for the Linaro 12.06 cycle. The build has a WLAN and BT
regression that will be captured in a bug (sent later).
The build will contain
* Kernel 3.4
* Android 4.04 with MM acceleration working
* GCC 4.6 was used for building the kernel, Android and Binaries
This build will *not* be released on the igloocommunity.org due to regression.
2. Jayeeta's team will be investigating a solution to the WLAN and BT
regression including trying out a new set of binaries (vendor.tgz).
Once the issues are fixed, Jayeeta's team will issue a new build, test
it and release it on the Igloocommunity.org portal. At that point,
Linaro will release the same build as 12.06.1. No other changes are
expected.
Thanks,
Anmar
(including release team so they know what will be coming from the TI LT)

Adding back in linaro-release just in case anyone else knows. If by "we"
you mean the QA team - no, we have brought all the boards we have available
(and even acquired a new vexpress board) but we do not have any mx6 boards
on the team. Sounds like we should order some though if we are going to
continue down this route. I'll followup with joey on that.

Adding Zach, linaro-release, and linaro-android.
Thanks for testing Botao.
Full results at
https://docs.google.com/a/linaro.org/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkxwyUNxNaAadDRDV…
it looks like these are the ones that would most likely affect the
demo:
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/1004351 - No Google
Hangout notification shows up on Origen Android image.
- I'm assuming you just force the connect by opening the magic url though?
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/1004362 - Video can't be
played on Origen Android Google Hangout release.
- This doesn't affect hangout video it seems though?
* https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-android/+bug/1004411 - The USB works
unstable on Origen Android Google Hangout image.
Additionally, there is a problem with getting input from the mic. Botao,
is there a bug for that? I don't see it here but I could be just missing
it. If there is no fix available for that, then it looks like the demo may
have to be video only, and likely you'll want to set it up one time and not
disconnect/reconnect.
Thanks,
Paul Larson

You've probably seen my partial results already before the release was cut,
but I've now finalised the results for vexpress here:
https://docs.google.com/a/linaro.org/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AroPySpr4FnEdFNmV…
I had a delay because RhythmBox was not playing MP3s due to plugins not
being installed. I believe this was a network problem rather than a
RhythmBox problem, so I haven't raised a defect.
Regards,
Ryan.
