Hi,
We have got the basic support for 4.2 on stable-panda (with hw graphics)
and tracking-panda (with sw graphics using hwcomposer.default.so) but
tracking-panda has skewed graphics due to FB issue. This is proof of
concept that all the platform can get to 4.2.
Please give a try and let us know.We have modified the way partitions are
mounted in 4.2. The device specific bits need to modified. Here are the
patches:

Hi,
if anyone has tried to do anything useful with stock (non-Linaro) 4.2,
you'll probably have noticed the "Developer options" item in Settings is
gone, and adb is disabled by default, with no obvious way to turn it on.
There's a way to get it back though (but it seems to be hidden to anyone
who doesn't read the source): Open Settings > About phone (or About
tablet), then tap the Build number entry 7 times.
After that, "Developer options" will be back and you can turn on adb.

Hi All,
I'm attempting to download, boot and run a Linaro Android image targeting the Arm FastModels simulator, with a Cortex-A15 target (preferably the single core). We have been using the RTSE_VE example that is shipped with the FastModels distribution for our target platform, based on the Cortex-A15x1 core.
I've had some trouble downloading the Android source from Linaro. Following the instructions listed on https://android-build.linaro.org, I have tried a couple of distributions (not exactly clear which one I should pick). I have tried the vexpress-ics-gcc47-armlt-tracking-open, and I have also tried the vexpress-rtsm-ics-gcc47-armlt-tracking-open. If you could clarify which I should be looking at, that would be great (the Linaro wiki entry on "Android on Fastmodels" seems to indicate the vexpress-rtsm version, however, the main page on http://android-build.linaro.org seems to indicate that vexpress-ics-gcc47-armlt-tracking-open will work for RTSM.
However, I see a similar error in the download regardless of which version I attempt to download. Following the suggestion on the specific build page, I have downloaded the linaro_android_build_cmds.sh script, and have used it to download the repositories.
I had some major headaches with the sync step hanging, but following some advice on the internet, I added the -j1 parameter to the repo sync command, to force the download to occur single threaded, and that seemed to help.
The error encountered occurs during the sync step, when the repository for libyuv is cloned. I get an error reported that the calculated hash is not a valid SHA1 hash. I'll post the error below. The sync execution continues after this error for some time, but eventually fails.
My host machine is a Ubuntu Linux 11.10 virtual machine.

Hi,
I've had a look at the 4.2 tree last night, and started rebasing our stuff.
A couple of notable changes, some of which may require some extra work:
- Some Ethernet support was added. In the rebased version, I've dropped the
frameworks/base part of the ECM bits (because something similar is already
there). We may have to modify the ECM settings bits to work with the new
Ethernet stuff or bring back ECM if it turns out to be more powerful
- fake vsync is now supported out of the box, our patch for that is no
longer needed. The property has a different name though - if anything uses
sf.force_sw_vsync, it needs to be updated to use debug.sf.no_hw_vsync
- Bluez was dropped in favor of a new Bluetooth stack. I doubt this affects
any of our builds a lot.
- the "prebuilts" tree now includes
"platform/prebuilts/clang/linux-x86/3.2", looks like someone is considering
to move away from gcc. It'll be interesting to benchmark this against
Linaro gcc (if llvm 2.9 is any indication, its optimization will come
nowhere near ours - but of course they haven't been sitting around idle)
I've pushed a linaro_android_4.2 tree, but it's not ready yet (in
particular, only the galaxynexus manifest has been updated, trying to get
one build up first).

I have been given an Audio HAL library for vexpress and want to get it
into our JB builds and was hoping to find an existing board with working
audio to get some clues from it.
I'm a bit worried that since the move to JB logcat shows lots of lines
like:
E/WVMExtractor( 1925): Failed to open libwvm.so
which seems to be related to attempts to play sound, so I'm guessing
that we might be missing something important.
