Thanks, the one I'm using is a bit older, let me find out how to get this to use the latest firmware.
Tested with the same firmware now, and had the same issue, but we're in sync at least now.
As a test, I added the fedora specific patches at https://github.com/rsalveti/linux/commits/topic-apm (on top of the 96boards reference kernel, which is based on the leg/acpi kernel), and it worked fine (tested on a 4.4 based kernel).
I know the CentOS kernel also got some extra patches (including a mailbox driver, https://git.centos.org/tree/sig-altarch%21kernel.git/9933f223293366d995fb475...), so you might want to check that as well.
