We don't seem to have it as one of the optional builds at the minute but it's one of those things like LKDTM and RANDOMIZE_BASE where it probably makes sense to have it as an extra config.
There's currently some discussion of explicitly supporting multiple compilers, right now the default for arm64 is a GCC 4.9 based build so we should be good, you can see the announcement in the boot banners, eg in:
