[PATCH] blktrace: Protect q->blk_trace with RCU

KASAN is reporting that __blk_add_trace() has a use-after-free issue when accessing q->blk_trace. Indeed the switching of block tracing (and thus eventual freeing of q->blk_trace) is completely unsynchronized with the currently running tracing and thus it can happen that the blk_trace structure is being freed just while __blk_add_trace() works on it. Protect accesses to q->blk_trace by RCU during tracing and make sure we wait for the end of RCU grace period when shutting down tracing. Luckily that is rare enough event that we can afford that. Note that postponing the freeing of blk_trace to an RCU callback should better be avoided as it could have unexpected user visible side-effects as debugfs files would be still existing for a short while block tracing has been shut down. [PATCH v4.19.y, v4.14.y, v4.9.y] crypto: drbg - add FIPS 140-2 CTRNG for noise source

From: Stephan Mueller <smueller(a)chronox.de> commit db07cd26ac6a418dc2823187958edcfdb415fa83 upstream FIPS 140-2 section 4.9.2 requires a continuous self test of the noise source. Up to kernel 4.8 drivers/char/random.c provided this continuous self test. Afterwards it was moved to a location that is inconsistent with the FIPS 140-2 requirements. The relevant patch was e192be9d9a30555aae2ca1dc3aad37cba484cd4a . Thus, the FIPS 140-2 CTRNG is added to the DRBG when it obtains the seed. This patch resurrects the function drbg_fips_continous_test that existed some time ago and applies it to the noise sources. The patch that removed the drbg_fips_continous_test was b3614763059b82c26bdd02ffcb1c016c1132aad0 . The Jitter RNG implements its own FIPS 140-2 self test and thus does not need to be subjected to the test in the DRBG. The patch contains a tiny fix to ensure proper zeroization in case of an error during the Jitter RNG data gathering. [PATCH v2] platform/x86: asus-wmi: Support laptops where the first battery is named BATT

The WMI method to set the charge threshold does not provide a way to specific a battery, so we assume it is the first/primary battery (by checking if the name is BAT0). On some newer ASUS laptops (Zenbook UM431DA) though, the primary/first battery isn't named BAT0 but BATT, so we need to support that case. I had a quick look at[2], can this be considered a "something critical"? It "bothers people"[1]. My point: I'm not sure.. I'm unsure if there is a bettery way to fix this. Maybe a counter would be better (+1 for every new battery)? It would probably need to be atomic to prevent race condition (I'm not sure how this code is run), but this "fix" is way simpler. [PATCH 4.14] tuntap: correctly set SOCKWQ_ASYNC_NOSPACE

Userspace needs an indication when the status is resolved. As a fix, tun_net_open() attempts to wake up writers - but that is only effective if SOCKWQ_ASYNC_NOSPACE has been set in the past. This is not the case of vhost_net which only poll for EPOLLOUT after it meets errors during sendmsg(). This patch fixes this by making sure SOCKWQ_ASYNC_NOSPACE is set when socket is not writable or device is down to guarantee EPOLLOUT will be raised in either tun_chr_poll() or tun_sock_write_space() after device is up. We will trigger a bug since we can double free sl->dev in slip_open. Actually, we should backport cf124db566e6 ("net: Fix inconsistent teardown and release of private netdev state.") too since it has delete free_netdev from sl_free_netdev. Fix it by delete free_netdev from slip_open. [PATCH 5.6] mt76: fix array overflow on receiving too many fragments for a packet
