The instruction sequence used is minimal to reduce overhead. Crucially, a stackframe is not created for the function being traced. This breaks stack unwinding since the function being traced does not have a stackframe for itself. [PATCH v5] block: add check that partition length needs to be aligned with block size

Before calling add partition or resize partition, there is no check on whether the length is aligned with the logical block size. If the logical block size of the disk is larger than 512 bytes, then the partition size maybe not the multiple of the logical block size, and when the last sector is read, bio_truncate() will adjust the bio size, resulting in an IO error if the size of the read command is smaller than the logical block size.If integrity data is supported, this will also result in a null pointer dereference when calling bio_integrity_free. [PATCH v4] aacraid: reply queue mapping to CPUs based of IRQ affinity

Fix the IO hang that arises because of MSIx vector not having a mapped online CPU upon receiving completion. The SCSI cmds take the blk_mq route, which is setup during the init. The reserved cmds fetch the vector_no from mq_map after the init is complete and before the init, they use 0 - as per the norm. [PATCH v2] iio: cros_ec: fix an use-after-free in cros_ec_sensors_push_data()

cros_ec_sensors_push_data() reads `indio_dev->active_scan_mask` and calls iio_push_to_buffers_with_timestamp() without making sure the `indio_dev` stays in buffer mode. There is a race if `indio_dev` exits buffer mode right before cros_ec_sensors_push_data() accesses them. An use-after-free on `indio_dev->active_scan_mask` was observed. The call trace: [...] _find_next_bit cros_ec_sensors_push_data cros_ec_sensorhub_event blocking_notifier_call_chain cros_ec_irq_thread It was caused by a race condition: one thread just freed `active_scan_mask` at [1]; while another thread tried to access the memory at [2]. Fix it by calling iio_device_claim_buffer_mode() to ensure the `indio_dev` can't exit buffer mode during cros_ec_sensors_push_data(). [PATCH] riscv: kprobes: allow writing to x0

Instructions can write to x0, so we should simulate these instructions normally. Currently, the kernel hangs if an instruction who writes to x0 is simulated. Fwd: System (Xeon Nvidia) hangs at boot terminal after kernel 6.4.7

Hi, I notice a regression report on Bugzilla [1].
