[PATCH 5.15.y] block: use "unsigned long" for blk_validate_block_size().

Since lo_simple_ioctl(LOOP_SET_BLOCK_SIZE) and ioctl(NBD_SET_BLKSIZE) pass user-controlled "unsigned long arg" to blk_validate_block_size(), "unsigned long" should be used for validation. Since this variable is used in one place only, remove it and pass the device name into kunit_device_register directly as an ascii string. [PATCH net-next v2 7/9] idpf: fix netdev Tx queue stop/wake

As a result, there sometimes are Tx queue timeout warnings despite that the queue is empty or there is at least enough space to restart it. Make idpf_tx_maybe_stop_common() inline and returning true or false, handling the return of netif_txq_maybe_stop() properly. Use a correct goto in idpf_tx_maybe_stop_splitq() to avoid stopping the queue or incrementing the stops counter twice. [PATCH v8 2/6] RISC-V: Scalar unaligned access emulated on hotplug CPUs

[REGRESSION][BISECTED][STABLE] hdparm errors since 28ab9769117c

Hello Igor, hello Niklas, on my NAS I am encountering the following issue since v6.6.44 (LTS), when executing the hdparm command for my WD-WCC7K4NLX884 drives to get the active or standby state: $ hdparm -C /dev/sda /dev/sda: SG_IO: bad/missing sense data, sb[]: f0 00 01 00 50 40 ff 0a 00 00 78 00 00 1d 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 drive state is: unknown While the expected output is the following: $ hdparm -C /dev/sda /dev/sda: drive state is: active/idle I did a bisection within the stable series and found the following commit to be the first bad one: 28ab9769117c ("ata: libata-scsi: Honor the D_SENSE bit for CK_COND=1 and no error") According to kernel.dance the same commit was also backported to the v6.10.3 and v6.1.103 stable kernels and I could not find any commit or pending patch with a "Fixes:" tag for the offending commit. So far I have not been able to test with the mainline kernel as this is a remote device which I couldn't rescue in case of a boot failure. Also just for transparency it does have the out of tree ZFS module loaded, but AFAIU this shouldn't be an issue here, as the commit seems clearly related to the error. If needed I can test with an untainted mainline kernel on Friday when I'm near the device. I have attached the output of hdparm -I below and would be happy to provide further debug information or test patches. [PATCH 3/3] drm/vmwgfx: Disable coherent dumb buffers without 3d

Coherent surfaces make only sense if the host renders to them using accelerated apis. Without 3d the entire content of dumb buffers stays in the guest making all of the extra work they're doing to synchronize between guest and host useless. Configurations without 3d also tend to run with very low graphics memory limits. The pinned console fb, mob cursors and graphical login manager tend to run out of 16MB graphics memory that those guests use. Fix it by making sure the coherent dumb buffers are only used on configs with 3d enabled. [PATCH] video/aperture: match the pci device when calling sysfb_disable()

In aperture_remove_conflicting_pci_devices(), match the pci device determine whether or not to call sysfb_disable(). This fixes cases where the pimary device is not VGA compatible which leads to the following problem: 1. A PCI device with a non-VGA class is the the boot display 2. That device is probed first and it is not a vga device so sysfb_disable() is not called, but the device resources are freed by aperture_detach_platform_device() 3. Non-primary GPU is vga device and it ends up calling sysfb_disable() 4. NULL pointer dereference via sysfb_disable() since the resources have already been freed by aperture_detach_platform_device() when it was called by the other device. Fix this by calling sysfb_disable() on the device associated with it.
