From: Dominique Martinet <dominique.martinet(a)atmark-techno.com> commit 8a7d12d674ac ("net: usb: usbnet: fix name regression") assumed that local addresses always came from the kernel, but some devices hand out local mac addresses so we ended up with point-to-point devices with a mac set by the driver, renaming to eth%d when they used to be named usb%d. Userspace should not rely on device name, but for the sake of stability restore the local mac address check portion of the naming exception: point to point devices which either have no mac set by the driver or have a local mac handed out by the driver will keep the usb%d name. (some USB LTE modems are known to hand out a stable mac from the locally administered range; that mac appears to be random (different for mulitple devices) and can be reset with device-specific commands, so while such devices would benefit from getting a OUI reserved, we have to deal with these and might as well preserve the existing behavior to avoid breaking fragile openwrt configurations and such on upgrade.) About patch "remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Handle platforms with only single power domain" in stable queue

Hi Patch "remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Handle platforms with only single power domain" was added to stable queue for 6.14, 6.12, 6.6, 6.1 and 5.15 but the patch has an issue which was fixed in upstream commit 4ca45af0a56d00b86285d6fdd720dca3215059a7 (https://lore.kernel.org/linux-arm-msm/20250511234026.94735-1-matti.lehtimak…). Either the patch"remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Handle platforms with only single power domain" should not be included in stable releases or the fix should be included as well. Adding "remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Handle platforms with only single power domain" to stable releases is probably not really necessary anyway. Thanks, Matti

The BPF timestaping feature was implemented in 6.14 and the patch you are handling is just one of them. The function of this patch prevents unexpected bpf programs using this feature from triggering fatal problems. [PATCH v2] riscv: hwprobe: Fix stale vDSO data for late-initialized keys at boot

The riscv_hwprobe vDSO data is populated by init_hwprobe_vdso_data(), an arch_initcall_sync. However, underlying data for some keys, like RISCV_HWPROBE_KEY_MISALIGNED_VECTOR_PERF, is determined asynchronously. Specifically, the per_cpu(vector_misaligned_access, cpu) values are set by the vec_check_unaligned_access_speed_all_cpus kthread. This kthread is spawned by an earlier arch_initcall (check_unaligned_access_all_cpus) and may complete its benchmark *after* init_hwprobe_vdso_data() has already populated the vDSO with default/stale values. So, refresh the vDSO data for specified keys (e.g., MISALIGNED_VECTOR_PERF) ensuring it reflects the final boot-time values. Test by comparing vDSO and syscall results for affected keys (e.g., MISALIGNED_VECTOR_PERF), which now match their final boot-time values. [PATCH] Revert "drm/i915/gem: Allow EXEC_CAPTURE on recoverable contexts on DG1"

[PATCH] Bluetooth: hci_qca: move the SoC type check to the right place

From: Bartosz Golaszewski <bartosz.golaszewski(a)linaro.org> Commit 3d05fc82237a ("Bluetooth: qca: set power_ctrl_enabled on NULL returned by gpiod_get_optional()") accidentally changed the prevous behavior where power control would be disabled without the BT_EN GPIO only on QCA_WCN6750 and QCA_WCN6855 while also getting the error check wrong. We should treat every IS_ERR() return value from devm_gpiod_get_optional() as a reason to bail-out while we should only set power_ctrl_enabled to false on the two models mentioned above. While at it: use dev_err_probe() to save a LOC. [PATCH] mm/hugetlb: fix a deadlock with pagecache_folio and hugetlb_fault_mutex_table

The patch fixes a deadlock which can be triggered by an internal syzkaller [1] reproducer and captured by bpftrace script [2] and its log [3] in this scenario: Process 1 Process 2 --- --- hugetlb_fault mutex_lock(B) // take B filemap_lock_hugetlb_folio filemap_lock_folio __filemap_get_folio folio_lock(A) // take A hugetlb_wp mutex_unlock(B) // release B ... hugetlb_fault ... mutex_lock(B) // take B filemap_lock_hugetlb_folio filemap_lock_folio __filemap_get_folio folio_lock(A) // blocked unmap_ref_private ... mutex_lock(B) // retake and blocked This is a ABBA deadlock involving two locks: - Lock A: pagecache_folio lock - Lock B: hugetlb_fault_mutex_table lock The deadlock occurs between two processes as follows: 1. The first process (let’s call it Process 1) is handling a copy-on-write (COW) operation on a hugepage via hugetlb_wp. Due to insufficient reserved hugetlb pages, Process 1, owner of the reserved hugetlb page, attempts to unmap a hugepage owned by another process (non-owner) to satisfy the reservation. Before unmapping, Process 1 acquires lock B (hugetlb_fault_mutex_table lock) and then lock A (pagecache_folio lock). To proceed with the unmap, it releases Lock B but retains Lock A. After the unmap, Process 1 tries to reacquire Lock B. However, at this point, Lock B has already been acquired by another process. 2. The second process (Process 2) enters the hugetlb_fault handler during the unmap operation. It successfully acquires Lock B (hugetlb_fault_mutex_table lock) that was just released by Process 1, but then attempts to acquire Lock A (pagecache_folio lock), which is still held by Process 1. As a result, Process 1 (holding Lock A) is blocked waiting for Lock B (held by Process 2), while Process 2 (holding Lock B) is blocked waiting for Lock A (held by Process 1), constructing a ABBA deadlock scenario. The solution here is to unlock the pagecache_folio and provide the pagecache_folio_unlocked variable to the caller to have the visibility over the pagecache_folio status for subsequent handling. The function mod_hdcp_hdcp1_enable_encryption() calls the function get_first_active_display(), but does not check its return value. The return value is a null pointer if the display list is empty. This will lead to a null pointer dereference in mod_hdcp_hdcp2_enable_encryption(). Add a null pointer check for get_first_active_display() and return MOD_HDCP_STATUS_DISPLAY_NOT_FOUND if the function return null. [PATCH 6.14.y] drm/i915/dp: Fix determining SST/MST mode during MTP TU state computation

Determining the SST/MST mode during state computation must be done based on the output type stored in the CRTC state, which in turn is set once based on the modeset connector's SST vs. MST type and will not change as long as the connector is using the CRTC. OTOH the MST mode indicated by the given connector's intel_dp::is_mst flag can change independently of the above output type, based on what sink is at any moment plugged to the connector. This caused a kernel panic in st_sensors_power_enable() when the call to devm_regulator_bulk_get_enable() fails and then calls dev_err_probe() with the uninitialized device. This seems to only cause a panic with dev_err_probe(), dev_err(), dev_warn() and dev_info() don't seem to cause a panic, but are fixed as well. [PATCH v3] net/mlx5_core: Add error handling inmlx5_query_nic_vport_qkey_viol_cntr()

The function mlx5_query_nic_vport_qkey_viol_cntr() calls the function mlx5_query_nic_vport_context() but does not check its return value. This could lead to undefined behavior if the query fails. A proper implementation can be found in mlx5_nic_vport_query_local_lb(). Add error handling for mlx5_query_nic_vport_context(). If it fails, free the out buffer via kvfree() and return error code.
