The function max14577_reg_get_current_limit() calls the function max14577_read_reg(), but does not check its return value. A proper implementation can be found in max14577_get_online(). Add a error check for the max14577_read_reg() and return error code if the function fails. [PATCH] firmware: cs_dsp: Fix OOB memory read access in KUnit test (ctl cache)

KASAN reported out of bounds access - cs_dsp_ctl_cache_init_multiple_offsets(). The code uses mock_coeff_template.length_bytes (4 bytes) for register value allocations. But later, this length is set to 8 bytes which causes test code failures. As fix, just remove the lenght override, keeping the original value 4 for all operations. [PATCH v4] fs: minix: Fix handling of corrupted directories

If the directory is corrupted and the number of nlinks is less than 2 (valid nlinks have at least 2), then when the directory is deleted, the minix_rmdir will try to reduce the nlinks(unsigned int) to a negative value. Make nlinks validity check for directories. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller. This updates the hugetlbfs reservation counter of the reservation map which at this point is referenced by both the source vma and the new copy. As a result, once the new vma has been freed and copy_vma() returns, the reservation counter for the source vma will be incorrect. This patch addresses this corner case by clearing the hugetlb private page reservation reference for the new vma and decrementing the reference before closing the vma, so that vma_close() won't update the reservation counter. This is also what copy_vma_and_data() does with the source vma if copy_vma() succeeds, so a helper function has been added to do the fixup in both functions. The issue was reported by a private syzbot instance and can be reproduced using the C reproducer in [1]. It's also a possible duplicate of public syzbot report [2]. [PATCH] ext4: inline: do not convert when writing to memory map

inline data handling has a race between writing and writing to a memory map. When ext4_page_mkwrite is called, it calls ext4_convert_inline_data, which destroys the inline data, but if block allocation fails, restores the inline data. The xattr semaphore is not sufficient to protect inline data handling in a sane way, so we need to rely on the inode_lock. Adding the inode_lock to ext4_page_mkwrite is not an option, otherwise lock-ordering problems with mmap_lock may arise. The conversion inside ext4_page_mkwrite was introduced at commit 7b4cc9787fe3 ("ext4: evict inline data when writing to memory map"). This fixes a documented bug in the commit message, which suggests some alternatives fixes. The alternative of keeping the data inline is left as an exercise for the reader. Instead, block allocation still happens, just as it does right now. But removal of the inline data is only done when pages are written back. This updates the hugetlbfs reservation counter of the reservation map which at this point is referenced by both the source vma and the new copy. As a result, once the new vma has been freed and copy_vma() returns, the reservation counter for the source vma will be incorrect. This patch addresses this corner case by clearing the hugetlb private page reservation reference for the new vma and decrementing the reference before closing the vma, so that vma_close() won't update the reservation counter. This is also what copy_vma_and_data() does with the source vma if copy_vma() succeeds, so a helper function has been added to do the fixup in both functions. The issue was reported by a private syzbot instance and can be reproduced using the C reproducer in [1]. It's also a possible duplicate of public syzbot report [2]. [PATCH v2] mac80211: Add null pointer check for ieee80211_link_get_chanctx()

The function ieee80211_chsw_switch_vifs() calls the function ieee80211_link_get_chanctx(), but does not check its return value. The return value is a null pointer if the ieee80211_link_get_chanctx() fails. This will lead to a null pointer dereference in the following code "&old_ctx->conf". A proper implementation can be found in ieee80211_link_use_reserved_assign(). Add a null pointer check and goto error handling path if the function fails. [PATCH] mtd: nand: sunxi: Add randomizer configuration in sunxi_nfc_hw_ecc_write_chunk

The function sunxi_nfc_hw_ecc_write_chunk() calls the sunxi_nfc_hw_ecc_write_chunk(), but does not call the configuration function sunxi_nfc_randomizer_config(). Consequently, the randomization might not conduct correctly, which will affect the lifespan of NAND flash. A proper implementation can be found in sunxi_nfc_hw_ecc_write_page_dma(). Add the sunxi_nfc_randomizer_config() to config randomizer.
