This is working on the assumption that a I2C device registered via OF will always match a legacy I2C device ID and that the MODALIAS reported will always be of the form i2c:<device>. But this could change in the future so the correct approach is to have an OF device ID table if the devices are registered via OF. Hence, ingress packets which gets to the RSS QP will be steered then to a garbage QPN. The patch fixes this by skipping the above assignment when a RSS QP is modified, also, the RSS context's attributes assignments are relocated just before the context is posted to avoid future issues like this. Additionally, this patch takes the opportunity to change the code to be disciplined to the device's manual and assigns the RSS QP context just at RESET to INIT transition. Patch series "thp: fix few MADV_DONTNEED races" For MADV_DONTNEED to work properly with huge pages, it's critical to not clear pmd intermittently unless you hold down_write(mmap_sem). Otherwise MADV_DONTNEED can miss the THP which can lead to userspace breakage. See example of such race in commit message of patch 2/4. All these races are found by code inspection. The commit e948bc8fbee0 ("cpufreq: Cap the default transition delay value to 10 ms") caused a regression on EPIA-M min-ITX computer where shutdown or reboot hangs occasionally with a print message like: longhaul: Warning: Timeout while waiting for idle PCI bus cpufreq: __target_index: Failed to change cpu frequency: -16 This probably happens because the cpufreq governor tries to change the frequency of the CPU faster than allowed by the hardware. With the above commit, the default transition delay comes to 10 ms for a transition_latency of 200 us. Set the default transition delay to 20 ms directly to fix this regression. While xhci_free_virt_devices_depth_first been called before the device has been setup and get real_port initialized. The problem occurred on Hikey960 and was reproduced by Guenter Roeck on Kevin with chromeos-4.4.
