However, this approach created a race condition between the DRM scheduler workqueue and the IRQ execution thread. As soon as the fence is signaled in the IRQ execution thread, a new job starts to be executed. This results in a race condition where the IRQ execution thread sets the job pointer to NULL simultaneously as the `run_job()` function assigns a new job to the pointer. This race condition can lead to a NULL pointer dereference if the IRQ execution thread sets the job pointer to NULL after `run_job()` assigns it to the new job. When the new job completes and the GPU emits an interrupt, `v3d_irq()` is triggered, potentially causing a crash. Even though the output to monitor is 60Hz, the rendered frame rate drops to 30Hz lower. It's due to code path in some cases will trigger dm_dp_mst_is_port_support_mode() to read out remote Link status to assess the available bandwidth for dsc maniplation. Overhead of keep reading remote DPCD is considerable. [How] Store the remote link BW in mst_local_bw and use end-to-end full_pbn as an indicator to decide whether update the remote link bw or not. Whenever we need the info to assess the BW, visit the stored one first. [PATCH v2 1/3] KVM: arm64: timer: Always evaluate the need for a soft timer

When updating the interrupt state for an emulated timer, we return early and skip the setup of a soft timer that runs in parallel with the guest. While this is OK if we have set the interrupt pending, it is pretty wrong if the guest moved CVAL into the future. In that case, no timer is armed and the guest can wait for a very long time (it will take a full put/load cycle for the situation to resolve). This is specially visible with EDK2 running at EL2, but still using the EL1 virtual timer, which in that case is fully emulated. Any key-press takes ages to be captured, as there is no UART interrupt and EDK2 relies on polling from a timer... The fix is simply to drop the early return. If the timer interrupt is pending, we will still return early, and otherwise arm the soft timer.
