There no such commit in Linus's tree. This commit id is in linux-stable, but that is a totally different commit, dealing with the tracing subsystem :(
Something went really wrong here, please fix up and resend.
Sorry about that, it was my error. The patch is fine, I tested it after manually rebasing onto 4.14.40, but I stuffed up in assembling the commit message. I'll repost.
