Because in the changelog it says: Fixes: 4900be83602b ("x86/vector/msi: Switch to global reservation mode") which is in the 4.15 kernel, not 4.14.y.

The second issue described in the changelog of the commit can happen to v4.14.y too. Since the v4.14.y is a longterm kernel, we should apply the patch to it.

I have verified the commit can be cherry-picked cleanly.

I've queued it up now, but someone needs to be more careful when writing changelogs :)
