This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
NFSv4.1 respect server's max size in CREATE_SESSION
to the 3.18-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git%3Ba=su...
The filename of the patch is: nfsv4.1-respect-server-s-max-size-in-create_session.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.18 subdirectory.
If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let stable@vger.kernel.org know about it.

Currently client doesn't respect max sizes server returns in CREATE_SESSION. nfs4_session_set_rwsize() gets called and server->rsize, server->wsize are 0 so they never get set to the sizes returned by the server.
