Hi Greg,
Please consider backporting commit 7ec916f82c48, which fixes an issue with iwlwifi module loading in some cases. Fabio initially reported the issue and confirmed reverting fixed the problem, and it has also been reported by at least one Fedora user[0] as fixing the problem.
