This reverts commit 152c432b128cb043fc107e8f211195fe94b2159c. When a kernel address couldn't be symbolized for /proc/$pid/wchan, it would leak the raw value, a potential information exposure. This is a regression compared to the safer pre-v5.12 behavior. [PATCH] nbd: use shifts rather than multiplies

commit fad7cd3310db ("nbd: add the check to prevent overflow in __nbd_ioctl()") raised an issue from the fallback helpers added in commit f0907827a8a9 ("compiler.h: enable builtin overflow checkers and add fallback code") ERROR: modpost: "__divdi3" [drivers/block/nbd.ko] undefined! As Stephen Rothwell notes: The added check_mul_overflow() call is being passed 64 bit values. COMPILER_HAS_GENERIC_BUILTIN_OVERFLOW is not set for this build (see include/linux/overflow.h). Specifically, the helpers for checking whether the results of a multiplication overflowed (__unsigned_mul_overflow, __signed_add_overflow) use the division operator when !COMPILER_HAS_GENERIC_BUILTIN_OVERFLOW. This is problematic for 64b operands on 32b hosts. This was fixed upstream by commit 76ae847497bc ("Documentation: raise minimum supported version of GCC to 5.1") which is not suitable to be backported to stable. Further, __builtin_mul_overflow() would emit a libcall to a compiler-rt-only symbol when compiling with clang < 14 for 32b targets. ld.lld: error: undefined symbol: __mulodi4 In order to keep stable buildable with GCC 4.9 and clang < 14, modify struct nbd_config to instead track the number of bits of the block size; reconstructing the block size using runtime checked shifts that are not problematic for those compilers and in a ways that can be backported to stable. In nbd_set_size, we do validate that the value of blksize must be a power of two (POT) and is in the range of [512, PAGE_SIZE] (both inclusive). This does modify the debugfs interface. [PATCH v2 4/4] x86/64/mm: Map all kernel memory into trampoline_pgd

From: Joerg Roedel <jroedel(a)suse.de> The trampoline_pgd only maps the 0xfffffff000000000-0xffffffffffffffff range of kernel memory (with 4-level paging). This range contains the kernels text+data+bss mappings and the module mapping space, but not the direct mapping and the vmalloc area. This is enough to get an application processors out of real-mode, but for code that switches back to real-mode the trampoline_pgd is missing important parts of the address space. The call to cr4_clear_bits() will find no stack and crash the machine. The real_mode_header pointer below points into the direct mapping, and dereferencing it also causes a crash. The reason this does not crash always is only that kernel mappings are global and the CR3 switch does not flush those mappings. But if theses mappings are not in the TLB already, the above code will crash before it can jump to the real-mode stub. Extend the trampoline_pgd to contain all kernel mappings to prevent these crashes and to make code which runs on this page-table more robust. [PATCH 0/2] Fix wild/dangling pointer in x86 ptp_kvm

When I was doing PTP_SYS_OFFSET_PRECISE ioctl in VM which has 128 vCPUs, I got error returned occasionally. Then I checked the routine of "getcrosststamp". I found in kvm_arch_ptp_get_crosststamp() of x86, pvclock vcpu time info was got from hv_clock arrary which has only 64 elements. Hence this ioctl is executed on vCPU > 64, a wild/dangling pointer will be got, which had casued the error. To confirm this finding, I wrote a simple PTP_SYS_OFFSET_PRECISE ioctl test and used "taskset -c n" to run the test, when it was executed on vCPUs >= 64 it returned error. This patchset exposes this_cpu_pvti() to get per cpu pvclock vcpu time info of vCPUs >= 64 insdead of getting them from hv_clock arrary. [PATCH] tpm: fix potential NULL pointer access in tpm_del_char_device()

In tpm_del_char_device() make sure that chip->ops is still valid. This check is needed since in case of a system shutdown tpm_class_shutdown() has already been called and set chip->ops to NULL. This leads to a NULL pointer access as soon as tpm_del_char_device() tries to access chip->ops in case of TPM 2.
