According to the spec, the backup GPT header resides on the last logical block of the media (not 33 from the end). The backup GPT partition array should go before that block; that would probably be 33 LBAs from the end of the medium.
But I will repeat that we shouldn't be relying on the backup GPT header and partition array this way (i.e., assuming the primary will be bad).
