Hello everyone,
as the subject says, is it possible to run the same tests on different boards starting from the same config file? Basically, is it possible to define multiple boards in a job file?
The request came out in bug 1067838, where it would be good to test the same artifacts on "different" boards, without having to create and maintain single CI jobs doing the same build each.
I didn't take a look at the docs: is there something available, even an example, there? Ciao.

On a slightly related note: the field "device_type" in the JSON job file, is it used to determine the board where to run the tests?

yes. you can specify something like "origen" and then LAVA will find an idle origen board to run your job on.

We don't support one job, multiple target executions. We've talked about it a few times, and it always comes back to this:
1) you can always submit multiple jobs in a single Jenkins job (we are doing that now for panda stuff)
2) even if we supported this, you'd have to change your tooling to understand that a job is going to give you multiple sets of results. So... if you are going to have to do a code change, there's not a whole lot of benefit for us doing item 1.
