[PATCH v2 2/2] i2c: designware: Handle invalid SMBus block data response length value

In the I2C_FUNC_SMBUS_BLOCK_DATA case, the invalid length byte value (outside of 1-32) of the SMBus block data response from the Slave device is not correctly handled by the I2C Designware driver. In case IC_EMPTYFIFO_HOLD_MASTER_EN==1, which cannot be detected from the registers, the Master can be disabled only if the STOP bit is set. Without STOP bit set, the Master remains active, holding the bus until receiving a block data response length. This hangs the bus and is unrecoverable. Avoid this by issuing another dump read to reach the stop condition when an invalid length byte is received. Later, commit f53f15ba5a85 ("i2c: designware: Get right data length"), introduced partial fix but not enough because the "tmp > 0" still test tmp as 32-bit value and is wrong in case the IC_DATA_CMD[11] is set. Revert the logic to just before commit 0daede80f870 ("i2c: designware: Convert driver to using regmap API"). [PATCH Wacom EKR Battery Fixes 0/3]

Currently the ExpressKey Remote battery will persist indefinitely in /sys/class/power_supply. Remove the battery when we stop getting reports from the device. Also remove some unneccessary code and make an EKR struct name more descriptive. Only the bugfix in the first patch will be sent to stable. [PATCH] r8152: Suspend USB device before shutdown when WoL is enabled

For Wake-on-LAN to work from S5 (shutdown), the USB link must be put in U3 state. If it is not, and the host "disappears", the chip will no longer respond to WoL triggers. To resolve this, add a notifier block and register it as a reboot notifier. When WoL is enabled, work through the usb_device struct to get to the suspend function. Calling this function puts the link in the correct state for WoL to function. [PATCH v2 1/3] mm: lock a vma before stack expansion

[PATCH] drm/shmem-helper: Reset vma->vm_ops before calling dma_buf_mmap()

The dma-buf backend is supposed to provide its own vm_ops, but some implementation just have nothing special to do and leave vm_ops untouched, probably expecting this field to be zero initialized (this is the case with the system_heap implementation for instance). Let's reset vma->vm_ops to NULL to keep things working with these implementations. [PATCH v3 1/2] Perform additional retries if Doorbell read returns 0

The driver retries certain register reads for 3 times if the returned value is 0, this was done based on hardware specification where the controller could possibly return 0 for certain registers when there is a parallel access to some of other registers from the firmware due to BMC out of band interactions.Recently it is observed that in certain systems with increased BMC interactions, the values returned are 0 even for 3 retries (the proper value is returned between 4 to 6 retries).Hence this patch changes the retry count 3 to 30, which is a revised recommendation, to avoid the out of band conflict. [PATCH v2 1/2] perf build: Update build rule for generated files

When O= option is used, they are saved in a separate directory but the default build rule assumes the .C files are in the source directory. [PATCH 0/2] don't use mapcount() to check large folio sharing

In madvise_cold_or_pageout_pte_range() and madvise_free_pte_range(), folio_mapcount() is used to check whether the folio is shared. But it's not correct as folio_mapcount() returns total mapcount of large folio. Use folio_estimated_sharers() here as the estimated number is enough.
