So, we already have tons of drivers that use a Pcd for a base address so that only one of them can exist in a system. This is not cause for rejecting a driver.
But I would be very, very happy if you had time to look into Ard's recent non-discoverable patchset, and perhaps the way the guys at SemiHalf have used it for their Armada 70x0 port.
This driver would be a lot nicer if written to that interface.
