Hi all,
I'm going to have another go at upgrading LAVA to postgres 9.1 in about 43 hours time. Again, should be less than 10 minutes total downtime. Let me know if this time will be super inconvenient for you.
Cheers, mwh PS: timezone cheat sheet as before: * 10:00 on Thursday 17th in NZ * 02:30 on Thursday 17th in Bangalore * 21:00 on Wednesday 16th in the UK * 16:00 on Wednesday 16th in Boston * 13:00 on Wednesday 16th in California

This is now done, although my downtime estimate was a bit ambitious -- it was about 15 minutes in the end.
I made two mistakes:
1) Forgetting to shut down lava on the remote worker nodes (this was probably the source of the failure on Monday)
2) Not updating the db port to connect to in the django settings.
In any case, lava is now running on pg 9.1, easing our upgrade to precise for control and making DR that much simpler.
Cheers, mwh
