FWIW, I have checked both 11ec50c and next-20131212 and bockw_defconfig seems to build cleanly (for me).
Yeah, it seems to be a race at file/directory creation time with ccache, not related to actual issues with what is being built.
Something else to watch out for if you're using ccache is the ccache status files being truncated should you run out of disk space - that's got me a number of times, which results in ccache losing all its statistical information, and growing well beyond its configured limits thenafter.
Yes, ccache is one of those poorly written programs that unfortunately doesn't always properly check for errors on writes.
Yep, exactly that has bit me a few times already.
