Note that Marcin's cross compiler packages or the Embedian toolchains are a better way to go, but if you want to see the steps involved check out the script.

Before my packages I had makefile which bootstrapped whole cross toolchain from Debian/Ubuntu sources. But armel-cross-toolchaing-base + gcc-4.5-armel- cross debian/rules* files contain whole code from it.

Marcin or Matthias, would you mind reviewing it?
