[PATCH v2 0/5] perf cs-etm: Track exception level

Changes since v1: * Always assume host kernel when the trace was captured at EL1 (nVHE) * Fix EL validation to work with ETMv3 * Add a commit to make PID format accessible from struct cs_etm_auxtrace ====== Some fixes to support an issue reported by Denis Nikitin where decoding trace that contains different EL1 and EL2 kernels can crash or go into an infinite loop because the wrong kernel maps are used for the decode. This still doesn't support distinguishing guest and host userspace, we'd still have to fix the timestamps and do a bit more work to correlate that. And I've removed PERF_RECORD_MISC_HYPERVISOR as a possible outcome of cs_etm__cpu_mode(). As far as I know this could never have been returned anyway because machine__is_host(machine) was always true due to session.machines.host being hard coded. And I'm not sure of the relevance of the difference between PERF_RECORD_MISC_KERNEL and PERF_RECORD_MISC_HYPERVISOR in this scenario. The first commit is a tidy up, second fixes a bug that I found when comparing the exception level and thread of branch records, the third is the main fix, and the last commit is some extra error checking. [PATCH 0/4] perf cs-etm: Track exception level

Some fixes to support an issue reported by Denis Nikitin where decoding trace that contains different EL1 and EL2 kernels can crash or go into an infinite loop because the wrong kernel maps are used for the decode. This still doesn't support distinguishing guest and host userspace, we'd still have to fix the timestamps and do a bit more work to correlate that. And I've removed PERF_RECORD_MISC_HYPERVISOR as a possible outcome of cs_etm__cpu_mode(). As far as I know this could never have been returned anyway because machine__is_host(machine) was always true due to session.machines.host being hard coded. And I'm not sure of the relevance of the difference between PERF_RECORD_MISC_KERNEL and PERF_RECORD_MISC_HYPERVISOR in this scenario. [PATCH] coresight: tmc: Explicit type conversions to prevent integer overflow

"nr_pages << PAGE_SHIFT" will overflow when nr_pages is integer and nr_pages >= 0x80000. That means Coresight ETR can not alloc more than 1G buffer. Explicit convert nr_pages to 64 bit to avoid overflow. [PATCH] coresight: etm4x: Match all ETM4 instances based on DEVARCH and DEVTYPE

Instead of adding the PIDs forever to the list for the new CPUs, let us detect a component to be ETMv4 based on the CoreSight CID, DEVTYPE=PE_TRACE and DEVARCH=ETMv4. This is already done for some of the ETMs. We can extend the PID matching to match the PIDR2:JEDEC, BIT[3], which must be 1 (RA0) always. [PATCH v4 00/11] Add support to configure TPDM DSB subunit

Introduction of TPDM DSB subunit DSB subunit is responsible for creating a dataset element, and is also optionally responsible for packing it to fit multiple elements on a single ATB transfer if possible in the configuration. The TPDM Core Datapath requests timestamps be stored by the TPDA and then delivering ATB sized data (depending on ATB width and element size, this could be smaller or larger than a dataset element) to the ATB Mast FSM. The DSB subunit must be configured prior to enablement. This series adds support for TPDM to configure the configure DSB subunit. See the last commit for a reproducer. This prevents the module from being unloaded. Historically there have been a few issues and fixes attempted around here which have resulted in some extra logic and a member to keep track of CTI being enabled 'struct coresight_device->ect_enabled'. The fix in commit 665c157e0204 ("coresight: cti: Fix hang in cti_disable_hw()") was also related to CTI having its own enable/disable path which came later than other devices. If we make CTI a helper device and enable helper devices adjacent to the path we get very similar enable/disable behavior to now, but with more reuse of the existing reference counting logic in the coresight core code. This also affects CATU which can have a little bit of its hard coded enable/disable code removed. Enabling CATU on the generic path does require that input connections are tracked so that it can get its associated ETR buffer. Applies to coresight/next (18996a113f256) but everything except the first fixes commit requires the realloc_array patch here [1]. Also available in full here [2]. [PATCH] coresight: etm4x: Fix missing trctraceidr file in sysfs

The trace ID patchset adjusted the handling of the TRCTRACEIDR register sysfs to allocate on read. Although this was initally correct, the final version of the patch series introduced an error which resulted in the mgmt/trctraceidr file in sysfs not being visible. This patch fixes that issue.
