[PATCH] serial:bfin-uart:Remove 'struct timeval'

The bfin-uart code uses real time with struct timeval. This will cause problems on 32-bit architectures in 2038 when time_t overflows. Since the code just needs delta value of time, it is not necessary to record them in real time. This patch changes the code to use the monotonic time instead, replaces do_gettimeofday() and struct timeval with ktime_get() and ktime_t. [PATCH] block: sx8: Remove 'struct timeval'

[PATCH] mtd:replace struct timeval with ktime_t in tests

The mtd tests' code recodes tests' start time and finish time by storing real time in struct timeval. This will cause problems on 32-bit architectures in 2038 when time_t overflows. [PATCH] staging: gdm72xx: gdm_stdio: Replace timeval with ktime_t

This driver uses 'struct timeval' which we are trying to remove since 32 bit time types will break in the year 2038 by replacing it with ktime_t. This patch changes do_gettimeofday() to ktime_get() because ktime_get() returns a ktime_t while do_gettimeofday() returns struct timeval. This patch also uses ktime_us_delta() to get the elapsed time. [PATCH v2] usb: misc: usbtest: Remove timeval usage

timeval is deprecated and not y2038 safe. Its size also changes according to 32 bit/ 64 bit compilation. Replace it with 32 and 64 bit versions of its individual fields, giving two ioctls with different code values. The two ioctls are necessary to maintain the 32 bit and 64 bit userspace compatibility with a 64/32 bit kernel. Change unsigned to __u32 types for a definitive userspace interface. This is in accordance with the psABI that the unsigned type is always 32 bits. Also use motonic timer instead of real time to ensure positive delta values. Refactor usbtest_ioctl for readability to isolate the handling of the testing timing measurement. The official testusb userspace tool can be changed in a separate patch to reflect the __u32 changes as well. It can use the usbtest_param_32 struct, since 32 bit seconds is long enough for test durations. [PATCH] scsi: bfa: bfa_cs: Remove struct timeval

32 bit systems using 'struct timeval' will break in the year 2038, so we replace the code appropriately. However, this driver is not broken in 2038 since we are using only the microseconds portion of the current time. This patch replaces struct timeval and do_gettimeofday() with ktime_get_real_ns() which returns a 64 bit value which is safer than struct timeval. ktime_get_real_ns() is also faster than the computations done in this macro previously to get the same value. [PATCH] scsi: bfa: Remove struct timeval
