The VxWorks example I was given a while ago (so I can try and not break booting them in U-Boot) for am335x follows the Linux names, and I think FreeBSD does as well.
That said, as I was saying at ELC during the BoF, at this time at least the contents (for FreeBSD, haven't deconstructed the VxWorks ones) are different.
