Unlike thermometers, thermal imaging cameras can scan large groups of people. Thermal imaging cameras are already at work in most country’s busiest locations to help identify people showing symptoms. In addition, the cameras can detect heat on 12 different places on the body within a 1/2 degree. Most of them use an AI to monitor numerous cameras at once, and will automatically notify security personnel if it detects someone with a fever.
