I don't see the need right now; easy enough to do that when it is, but right now the releases are uploads to Ubuntu.

It's a tool very specific to Debian/Ubuntu; as soon as it's in Debian, I think it should get a proper "upstream" bug tracker, in the mean time I prefer if we can avoid tracking two places.
