What Android and Embedded Linux can learn from each other.
This is a preview (and fix-it-up session ;) ) for the talk I'm going to give at ELC - the basic premise is:
Android and "normal" Embedded Linux are often seen as completely different projects with different communities - merely sharing a common kernel. However, there are many things the two projects can learn from each other, and there's lots of useful code from the "other side" that members of "one side" typically aren't aware of - or never thought of using in their environment. This session will identify useful code from both sides that can be useful to the "other side" - in the hopes of moving both the projects and the communities a bit closer together.
